Since the chamber music
ensemble Interpreti
Veneziani was founded by Paolo Cognolato
in 1987, it has received unanimous recongnition
for all Italian exuberance and brio
characteristic of its performances.From
its first appearance, the talent of
the ensemble's members, their success
as solo and group performers and the
high level of their performances have
won the ensemble the enthusiastic acclaim
of audiences and critics in Italy and
during tours in Europe, Russia and
America. All members play prestigious
original instruments.
They record with Rivo Alto and Musikstrasse.
For the last ten years, the Interpreti
Veneziani have been giving a season
of concerts in Venice at the San Vidal
church. This consist of more than 100
concerts with varied programmes in harmony
with the atmosphere of the venue. The
church, dating back to the second half
of the 17th century, contains a prestigious
exibition of ancient musical instruments.
During the concerts, the fine art of
Italian stringe instruments making comes
together with masterpieces in this sacred
place which boats paintings by important
artist from Venetian School from the
16th and 17th centuries such as Palma
il Giovane, Sante Peranda, Pietro Vecchia,
etc. |
