Gran Viale S.M.Elisabetta, 28 30126
Lido - Venezia |
Built
in 1905 - at the beginning of the
fortune of the Lido as an exclusive
holiday resort in Reinassance style,
the Hungaria Palace Hotel was enriched
in 1914 by covering the entire facade
with polychromatic majolica tiles.
The work, created by Luigi Fabris,
the famous ceramist from Bassano,
was completed before the first world
war; it is a unique example of the
expansion, even in Venice, of the
Viennese taste for facade decoration.
